Why We Love Hades

Hades is one of Disney’s most memorable villains, and honestly? He kind of steals the show in Hercules.

In Greek mythology, Hades rules the Underworld as the god of the dead. But Disney gave him a personality upgrade with that sarcastic wit, fast-talking style, and short temper that makes him endlessly entertaining.

And then there’s the hair. That flaming blue mane is iconic. It flickers between blue and fiery orange depending on his mood, and it’s become one of the most recognizable villain designs in Disney history.

This design captures that energy. Bold, dramatic, and just a little bit chaotic.
